REFUNDS, DEFERRALS, & INSURANCE
Race Insurance - The only way to get a refund.
Protect your registration. We offer refund insurance for a fee (see deadline for percentage amounts to be refunded below) that is non-refundable. Request for refund must be within 96 hours of the event and can only be used for refund on initial registration amount. The Woodlands Marathon Management will provide you with a refund on any unused race entry if you are unable to attend the booked event due to any circumstance with exception to the following: Adverse weather where the Police services or other Government agency have issued warnings in the production of the event. We will not pay for traveling or associated expenses or any loss other than the purchase price of the booked event.
Refund Deadlines percentage amounts:
100% fee (minus insurance fee and processing fees) by Dec 31st.
75% (minus insurance fee and processing fees) by January 31st.
50% (minus insurance fee and processing fees) 96 hours prior to the event.
The refund insurance fee plus processing fees will not be refunded. Refund Insurance must be purchased at time of registration.
Outside of the purchasable race insurance (info above) we DO NOT offer refunds for personal issues a runner may have or weather, Acts of God, Public Emergencies, or Government Shutdowns that may cancel or postpone the event.
While we do not offer refunds for personal reasons (travel, work, illness, family, lack of training, injury, etc) we do offer a next-year deferral option for $40, until January 31.
In the event of a Government instituted entire race shutdown like what happened due to COVID-19, we will offer a fee-free next-year deferral or option to race virtual.
